Peach ice tea is always my preferred drink in the summer, but the ice tea you usually reach for on the shelf is undoubtedly full of unnecessary baddies such as E-Numbers, aspartame and preservatives, not forgetting heaps of sugar.
So I’ve come up with a super simple recipe and healthy alternative that only uses two ingredients; green tea and peach squash.
1-2 Green Tea bags
3-4 tablespoons of Peach Squash
- There is no correct ratio of green tea to peach squash; it depends on your taste really! However, use the green tea as if you were making a glass of squash, and the same goes for the amount of peach.
- Pour your water and add your tea bags in a glass. If using warm water, let it brew for about 10 minutes, but if you’re using boiled, hot water it only needs to brew for about 4 minutes. The colour of the tea should be the same strength and colour as making your normal cup of green tea. Once cooled (or you could just add ice to quicken the process), add your desired amount of peach squash and it’s ready to serve!
Happy sippin’ in the sunshine!
