We all have those screenshots of grey and white clothes rails, with a chanel bag thrown in the pic from Pinterest, or if you’re more eco-style, maybe some vines winding round your walls with a few cacti hanging here and there… lusting over what your room could be, but you lock it away as a dream. Time for that dream to come true! And where else to get some inspiration than from the luscious copper-plated, greenery lined walls of Anthropologie.
So we headed to Kings Road, hopeful for some inspiration, and also to check out the Free People pop-up which you should definitely see if you’re up in London soon.
Dream house hunting as per usual… (dibs on the lilac one)
As soon as you set foot on the morroccan tiles, envy suddenly creeps in.
Snapping away with ideas of copper this, copper that (throughout this post you may begin to get a bit worried with my obsession over copper, but c’mon there’s worse things to be obsessed over, and copper is definitely worth it, in my opinion)
One for the christmas list!
Just take a stroll round the floors and you’ll be hooked on the Anthro-style.
There’s even a mini art gallery found in the store, great break for the mind from all the shopping.
Everything is oh-so-pretty.
Reminds me of something out of Monsters Inc.
Who would have thought that one day you’d be deciding on which door knob to buy, flower patterned or amethyst rock?
Full of inspiration, we left the welcoming doors of Anthropologie and I was eager to get creative and crafty with my room.
I’m now going to give you a peek into my room, to maybe spark some ideas to spice up your room.
These pots are from Marrakech but they sell the exact ones in different colours on eBay.
I found myself with a growing collection of hats and a space on my wall crying for some colour. So all I did was hammer a nail into my wall, and BOOM. A space to hang your hats, and it looks quite funky if you ask me.
If you follow me on Instagram you may have already seen this candle, but if not it’s from Paddywax and smells absolutely divine.
All bedding is from John Lewis!
Now to get creative!
All you need is some cacti, I got mine from Homebase.
This bin is also from Homebase… love a bit of copper!
This next idea may involve some type of building site set up in your room, but you can probably find a shelf similar to this and grab a few ideas.
To make your room look cosy, but not busy, I would recommend you assign a wall only for your favourite framed photos.
I printed off my favourite quote by Audrey Hepburn, and throughout the past year I have been collecting prints, waiting for right to time hang them.
Let me know in the comments if you’ve been inspired or if you have any ideas (preferably copper involved) and I’ll love to try them out!
