By ‘storm’, I mean the hectic – hopefully snowy – storm, known as Christmas.
Lately, I feel I have been neglecting my blog. It’s not that I don’t want to dedicate all my time to it (trust me, I would love it if this my job) but from starting my final year at school (GCSEs are every where I look, yay…), I’ve found that I have had literally no time what so ever to do anything I want (the beauty of eat, sleep (if time), work – repeat) I mean, the last time I gave Instagram a good hour scroll must have been back in the summer holidays – that may not seem too extreme but for me it was an addiction. And so with a never ending pile of decisions for sixth forms, assessments and keeping my blog up-to-date, I feel maybe the right thing to do is give the blog a break. Don’t worry it’s not going be anything like Ross and Rachel’s break, I’m still going to post as much as I can, because truthfully I love blogging. I would never spend so much time and effort doing something that I don’t enjoy doing – this could also speak for my work-ethic towards physics and maths…
I felt this Sunday was the perfect day to give myself a break; catch-up on the stack of magazines beside my bed, throw on some effortless make up (the tinted eyelash primer featured above is my new ‘I-can’t-be-asked-for-butterfly-lashes’ look, and the L’Oreal concealer completes the look by lightening the dark, sleep-deprived areas) and, of course, burning some of Flamingo’s candles to set the mood. A pamper day like this really aids you into feeling like yourself again. Around this time of year we all catch the traditional flu, and inevitably feel like your living under a pressuring pile of tissues and Lemsip, with the even more pressing idea of Christmas around the corner. Don’t get me wrong, I’m a festive-fanatic, but organising presents and events can get a bit stressful.
Thus, my friends, give yourself a break before the madness commences, trust me.
