Wishing happy birthday to my blog as it turns 2 years old.

Before I even thought of creating my own blog, I thought my interest in all things food and fashion was just a ‘hobby’. When the idea of putting these interests into writing and photography arose, I couldn’t have predicted what a huge impact and part of my life it has become.

I thought blogging would be something I would be interested in for no more than six months – given my short attention span and other study commitments. But two years on and I’m still posting.

I 100% do not regret creating my own blog because it has not only opened up job opportunities but also helped me establish what I want to do in my career – essentially finding what I love to do and making a career out of it. Although I never had the intention of earning my career through my blog, I started it purely because it seemed like a great creative outlet for me. I haven’t earned money from blogging, but in return I’ve received opportunities and experience, which in my opinion is a lot more valuable.

Ever since I launched my blog its really evolved with me. I started TrendItPlume (was named BrunchAtTiffiany’s) in my early teens and it was focused on healthy eating as that was my main interest at the time. From then on it has flourished and grown in leaps and bounds to become the creative and personal website I’m proud to call mine.

It’s never too late to start your own blog. Trust me, you won’t regret it.
